Dear IYD community
King's Birthday Weekend
- No classes: There will be no classes over King's Birthday weekend. Both Saturday 30th May & Monday 01st June.
- Recordings: If you would like to rent a recording over the long weekend, let Demelza know by next Thursday to arrange your access. The recording will be available for the whole weekend.
International Day of Yoga
- Dunedin Indian Association: Join me at the DIA's International Day of Yoga celebrations Sunday 21st June 2026.
- Demonstration: IYD have been invited to give a short demonstration of yoga and I would love you to join me! If you are interested get in touch for more details and join in the celebrations!
The Practice Room - From our members perspective
- Why join The Practice Room: I joined The Practice Room to make a commitment to my yoga, knowing that a fixed price but unlimited & multiple ways of accessing class would make it easy & economical for me.
- What I love about it: I get to try different classes which gives me greater understanding about yoga and the poses. I meet more of the IYD community because of this too and my yoga is improving!
- What surprises me most: How each class is so different, how different ages work in their practice and how inspiring it is to see the range of people in our community, all working at their own level. I am also surprised at how much yoga I can fit into my week, which makes me feel so much better.
This year is moving swiftly by. Moray Chambers has fitted us well, with everyone enjoying the space, and the warmth and views it gives us.
There will be no classes over King's Birthday Weekend, members of The Practice Room enjoy unlimited access to the recording library & studio, non members are welcome to rent a recording for use over the long weekend. If you would like to do this, it is a class visit on your pass and you just need to let me know by next Thursday. The recording will remain live for the whole long weekend.
International Day of Yoga is 21st of June 2026. The Dunedin Indian Association have invited me to represent Iyengar Yoga at it and I would love to have you join me. If you are interested please let me know this will be a fun event to be part of.
A number of you have been asking me about membership recently. This is the most value for money option in our offerings. Unlimited classes for a fixed price means you can do more yoga, accessing it in multiple ways but not at any additional price. If you are looking to grow your practice in a budget friendly way let's have a chat and see if this is right for you.
